What are your minimum system requirements?

The Stocktrade website has been designed to allow clients to satisfactorily access the HTML (trading) and Java (streaming prices) sections of the Internet service on all recent web browsers such as Internet Explorer 6 & 7 and Mozilla Firefox 2.0. There may be some layout issues on older browser versions.

What are Java applets?

Java is a small program that runs either within a browser or as a separate program. Applets are usually written in Java.

They differ from applications in that they can be written with restricted functionality, which is designed to protect the user's machine from faulty or malicious code. The restrictions include the inability to write to the user's hard disk or execute operating system functions.

The applets are downloaded from Web sites along with the web page in which it was embedded. They are typically used to provide a more advanced user interface than HTML.
